The American remake of the Japanese horror film "Chakushin Ari" (2003), where people start receiving voicemails from their future selves, messages, which include the date, time, and some of the details of their deaths, required the use of many modified cell phones. Most were modified to display blank screens for keying purposes and to remain continually backlit while open. In addition to the cell phones, a miniature baby carriage was built to replicate a full size version.
